Know Before You Go

We’re delighted to share our cabin with you. Here’s everything you need to know to enjoy your stay and help us keep the cabin in great shape for everyone:

  1. Bedding: If you prefer to bring your own, you’re welcome to use full or twin-size sheets. If you use the bedding provided, kindly bring them home with you to wash after your stay and return them at your earliest convenience.
  2. Bath Towels: The same applies to bath towels. Feel free to bring your own or use the ones provided, but please bring them home to wash and return them after your stay.
  3. Kitchen Towels and Rags: These can stay at the cabin. We only ask that you toss them into the washing machine before you leave. There’s no need to start it; we’ll handle that.
  4. Internet Access: WiFi is available to keep you connected. You’ll find the WiFi code on the bulletin board in the hallway. T-Mobile has a few bars of service, but if you’re on Verizon you’ll likely not have any. You’ll want to connect to the internet when you arrive, but if needed, the main road (178) has strong service for most carriers.
  5. Food: Help yourself to anything in the freezer or pantry. If you notice supplies are running low or you finish something off, please give us a heads-up so we can restock. There’s unlikely any fresh food in the refrigerator, so bring your own milk, fruit and veggies. There are a few grocery stores 15 minutes from the cabin.
  6. Pets: Your furry friends are welcome! Please try and keep pets downstairs. We also appreciate it if you tidy up after them in the yard.
  7. Trash: There is no curbside trash collection, please take your trash with you when you leave, there should be plenty of trash bags.
  8. Water: Our water is well-sourced and potable, regularly tested, but rich in minerals. It’s not chlorinated, but the kitchen sink has a filter on the cold side for your use. A RO water filter is also available.
  9. Important: You’ll need to turn on the main water when you arrive, and turn off the main water when you leave. You’ll find instructions and pictures on how to do this in the cabin.
  10. Cabin Access: Entry is through a WiFi-enabled door lock. We’ll send you a 4-digit code via text before your arrival.
  11. Questions? If there’s anything else you need to know, don’t hesitate to text or ask.

Enjoy your stay at our family retreat!
